Nov. 16—The Atlanta Braves acquired relief pitcher Dennis Santana from the Texas Rangers on Tuesday, as part of a series of roster moves.
The Braves got Santana for cash and opened a spot on the 40-man roster by designating reliever Jackson Stephens for assignment.
It was the second trade in a week between Atlanta and Texas, with the Braves previously adding Kolby Allard for Jake Odorizzi in a swap of of pitchers.
Santana, a 26-year-old right-hander from the Dominican Republic, went 3-8 with a 5.22 ERA across 63 appearances for Texas in 2022.
