The Atlanta Braves are getting a key piece of the lineup back in time for the stretch run. The Braves activated injured catcher Travis d’Arnaud from the 60-day injured list Wednesday. To make room on the active roster, the team designated catcher Kevan Smith for assignment.

D’Arnaud was injured on May 1 when he suffered a torn ligament in his thumb on a play at the plate against the Toronto Blue Jays.
