Luiz Gohara’s 2018 season has not at all gone according to plan. After a success debut in 2017 that saw him light up the radar gun and have him picked to have a breakout 2018 season in the Braves’ rotation, Gohara first suffered a minor groin injury that put him behind the rest of the Braves’ starters, but it wasn’t expected to keep him from joining the rotation by the time he was needed.
That all changed when he injured his ankle in fielding practice drills that killed his chances of locking down a spot in the starting rotation and was slated to keep him out until late April/early May.
