Braves activate Jim Johnson from disabled list

The Atlanta Braves have activated reliever Jim Johnson from the disabled list. To make room for Johnson on the roster, Atlanta optioned right hander Ryan Weber to Triple-A Gwinnett.

Johnson was placed on the disabled list back on May 10 with what was called a right groin strain. Johnson at one point strung together a streak of seven straight scoreless appearances but was struggling mightily before getting shut down. He has made 15 appearances for the Braves this season and has allowed 12 earned runs in 13 2/3 innings.

Johnson made three rehab appearances between Rome and Gwinnett throwing three innings while allowing three hits and no earned runs.
