Rome began the week with an offensive burst, winning Monday 10-7 over Kannapolis. The R-Braves starter Daniel Cordero went 5 innings, but the pitching “hero” of the day was Caleb Dirks who came in to hurl 2 2/3 scoreless innings, striking out two, to close out the win as Rome put up 4 runs in the 9th inning to win the game. Rome had 16 hits and 4 walks, and with 20 baserunners, the offensive stats look very good. Joseph Daris led the way with 4 hits in 5 at bats.
