ATLANTA - Atlanta Braves Outfielder Marcell Ozuna was released from the Fulton County jail late Monday afternoon after being arrested over the weekend on domestic violence charges.
Ozuna, 30, was booked into the Fulton County Jail by Sandy Springs police on two charges for battery-family violence and aggravated assault-strangulation.
Appearing via video with a neon-colored cast, Atlanta Braves outfielder Marcell Ozuna made his first appearance in front of a judge after his arrest on family violence charges.
Due to the severity of the allegations, Fulton County Deputy District Attorney Simone Hylton asked the judge for no bond.
