The Atlanta Braves signed right-handed pitcher Dale Thayer to a minor league contract. The 35-year-old signed a minor league deal with the Dodgers during this past offseason, but opted out of that deal earlier this month.
In 2016 with the Tulsa Drillers (Dodgers Double-A affiliate), he posted a 6.75 ERA in the seven games he appeared in. In eight innings pitched this year, he’s given up 16 hits, 10 runs (only six were earned), two walks and 10 strikeouts.
In Thayer’s career he’s had continual success against hitters on both sides of the plate limiting right-handed batters to a .
