This doesn’t come as a huge surprise as Alex Anthopoulos has been dropping hints the last couple of days that the Atlanta Braves were close to finding an outfielder, and Nick Markakis has been waiting in the wings all offseason.
Rosenthal also has the terms of the deal stating that Nick Markakis will make $4 million in 2019 with a $6 million club option for 2020 or a $2 million buyout.

The 35-year-old right fielder is guaranteed $6 million in the deal and could ultimately earn $10 million if his option is picked up for 2020.
