It got a bit dicey late in last night’s game between the Braves and Giants: Atlanta, already short of position players, lost Gordon Beckham in the sixth inning as he attempted to out-run a double-play grounder. This lead to Julio Teheran pinch hitting in the tenth inning.
Fortunately, the Braves managed to put an early-ish end to the extra inning affair as the Giants pitched to Freddie Freeman when he’s most dangerous: with no runners on base.
Unfortunately for Beckham, this is a repeat injury, and though the team was suggesting last night that it could be a day-to-day situation, it stands to reason that he should be given ample time to get that healed up this time.
