Scivicque was drafted by the Tigers out of Louisiana State University in 2015 in the 4th round. The Tigers started Scivicque in Connecticut of the short-season New York-Penn League, where he tore the cover off the ball to the tune of a .972 OPs, earning him a promotion to low-A West Michigan of the Midwest League. In total on the season, Scivicque hit .269/.333/.381 with 5 home runs and a 12/29 BB/K ratio over 216 plate appearances between the two levels.
The Tigers sent Scivicque to Lakeland in the high-A Florida State League to start 2016, and he had spent the entire season there before the Braves acquired him.
