The Atlanta Braves announced today the RHP Mike Foltynewicz has been hospitalized for blood clots in his arm.
Braves AGM John Coppolella told reporters that Foltynewicz went to the emergency room Friday with swelling and redness in his arm. Folty was admitted and remains in Piedmont Hospital for observation and treatment.
Foltynewicz came to the Braves as part of the trade that sent Evan Gattis to Houston and started the year at Gwinnett. The Braves called him up at the beginning of May but after nine starts he returned to Gwinnett.
