Tomahawk Take Editor’s Note: Atlanta Braves first baseman, Freddie Freeman, continues to try to play through his banged up right wrist. Though I understand his commitment to his team and wanting to be on the field everyday, the Braves have to be smart with this situation. Freeman’s wrist is injured and these last six games don’t mean anything…why risk causing a more serious issue here? Braves should sit Freeman for the rest of the season, period.
“(Manager Fredi Gonzalez) asked me whether I bunted because it hurt or because I thought I saw an opening and I was like ‘Fredi I don’t care if there’s nobody on the left side of the field I’m not going to be bunting,” Freeman said.
