For the first time since the glory days of Andruw Jones, an Atlanta Braves center fielder has won the NL Gold Glove. Ender Inciarte became the 2016 NL Gold Glove winner last night, and it was definitely deserved. The obvious hope is that he’ll continue to bring in the hardware during his time as a Brave. This season, Inciarte made 117 of his 126 starts in center field. He was second to Reds center fielder Billy Hamilton in defensive runs saved and ultimate zone rating (UZR) at that position, but led in other metrics, including a lesser-known metric, Total Zone Runs.
