BRAVES NEWS

The Braves fell to the Tigers on Wednesday behind a rough outing from R.A. Dickey, who lasted 4.1 innings and allowed six runs (five earned) on eight hits. The offense got contributions from Matt Kemp, who doubled in two in the first, and Kurt Suzuki, who followed with a two-run homer.

Mark Bowman of MLB.com writes that competition is rising between three viable candidates for a spot in the Braves bullpen on Opening Day.
