The Braves dropped the finale of their trip to the desert as Aaron Blair returned to the major leagues. Blair allowed five runs in three innings of work, walking five and allowing five hits. The Atlanta offense was essentially shut down by Patrick Corbin aside from the left-hander’s issues with walks, and the Snakes ended up winning by a 10-3 final.
The Braves made the move that many had been clamoring for on Wednesday, sending down Dansby Swanson amidst his benching/platooning at the major league level. The move comes at a point when Swanson will have around five weeks left in the minor league season if the Braves decide to keep him down until September, though a Brandon Phillips trade could certainly speed up his return.
