BRAVES NEWS
The Braves certainly brought their bats to DC this week, and in the process of posting double-digit runs in two of three games, the Braves picked up a series victory. Julio Teheran was excellent, going seven innings and allowing just two runs and limiting a Nationals offense that has been one of the best in baseball thus far. The offense was led by Brandon Phillips, Ender Inicarte, Nick Markakis, and Matt Adams. Kurt Suzuki also homered to continue the hot-hitting ways of Braves catchers this season.
When Matt Kemp left the game in the third inning of Wednesday’s game in Washington, fans initially feared that the Braves would then be without both Kemp and Freddie Freeman for an extended period of time.
