It was a game to forget for Weigel who had the worst start of his professional career lasting just one inning (shortest outing of professional career as well), while giving up eight earned runs. With two runners on and two out in the first the night Weigel surrendered a three run homerun to put Gwinnett down 3-0. Gwinnett then went 1-2-3 in the top of the second to put Weigel back on the mound where he struggled again going: single, homer, double, HBP, double before being relieved by Luke Jackson. Luke then gave up a single to give up another earned run (charged to Weigel) to end the night for Patrick.
