Good Matt Wisler continued to show up as he limited the Iron Pigs offense to just one earned run over seven innings. He flashed his normal fantastic slider, but also complemented it with what appeared to be a much improved changeup. Using that changeup, Wisler was able to work seven without running into too much trouble. The only real trouble he faced was in the second when he gave up a pair of doubles and a walk and yielded his lone run of the game.
He left the game in the eighth with Gwinnett leading 2-1. Gwinnett scored those two runs in the fourth inning courtesy of some nice two out hitting by Micah Johnson, and Carlos Franco.
