The Stripers offense gave plenty of support to Kolby Allard and the rest of the pitching staff. Gwinnett came out rolling after Charlotte took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, and put up 4 hits and three runs before the Knights recorded an out. Gwinnett extended the lead in the 4th inning when Rio Ruiz doubled in a run to make it 4-1, and the Braves added three more on a Carlos Franco single and a Sean Kazmar single to push the lead out to six runs.
