The Stripers offense was terrible for awhile, like 19 straight batters retired to start the game, and then all of the sudden it was very good and they scored 5 runs in 2 2⁄3 innings. The Mud Hens starter was absolutely cruising, had a perfect game going, and then Danny Santana of all people deposited a baseball in the seats and suddenly Gwinnett was only down 2-1. In the 8th inning Tyler Smith deposited a tank shot into the left field stands that scored Sean Kazmar and tied the game at 3 runs.
