Patrick had himself a fine debut at AAA on Saturday, but a tough day for the bullpen resulted in a loss for Gwinnett by the score of 7-4. In his first start at AAA, Weigel went seven strong innings, kept his pitch count under 100, and had his 5th start of the season where he has walked one batter or less. When you can threaten triple digits on the radar gun, have a good breaking ball, and limit free passes....good things will happen. Unfortunately, David Peterson was REALLY off today as he not only allowed two inherited runners to score in the 8th, but he gave up two more in the 9th for good measure as he gave up lots of loud contact and really struggled with his control.
