Despite getting nine strikeouts from Andrew Albers, Gwinnett fell to Columbus 5-2. Albers getting swings and misses, but also got into a good bit of trouble early in this game. He loaded the bases with no outs in the first before striking out the next three batters, but the bulk of the damage to his line was via the long ball in giving up a solo shot in the 2nd followed by a 2-run shot in the 5th. Luke Jackson would relieve him in this game, giving some credence to the idea that the Braves may be giving up on transitioning him to a starter, and he pitched 1.
