Kyle Wright had his ups and downs in this game, but righted the ship after the first few innings and really shut down the Bats striking out four batters over his final two innings of work. Wes Parsons pitched the final three innings to pick up the save. It’s good that he wasn’t affected by the recent demotion.
On offense, all five runs were driven in by the 3 and 4 hitters in the lineup (Duvall and Ortega). Andres Blanco also had a strong game with four hits. Travis Demeritte went hitless in five at bats while Alex Jackson struck out three times on the night.
