Friday night was a pretty forgettable evening for the Braves minor league system, as each team saw a solid outing from their starting pitcher but there was no offense at all. To illustrate how poor the offense was, the Braves farm system managed to score just five combined runs in the four games. The positive is that Max Fried, Sean Newcomb, and Tyler Pike all pitched very well overall.
Indianapolis Indians 4, Gwinnett Braves 1
- Sean Newcomb, SP: 6 IP, 4 H, 3 BB, 2 R, 7 K
- Ozzie Albies, 2B: 1-4, R, SB
- Dustin Peterson, LF: 1-4
This game lived up to the billing of the pitching duel between Sean Newcomb and Jameson Taillon.
