Two early runs were enough for the Stripers pitching staff, who combined to shut out the Bisons. Austin Riley’s ground-rule double with two outs in the first inning got the Braves their first baserunner of the game, and he was brought in to score the first run by Rio Ruiz’s single. The Braves added their second run of the game on a double from Alex Jackson in the second inning, scoring Phil Gosselin to give them a 2-0 lead they would hold for the next 7 and a half innings.
