Gwinnett used a strong outing from Ryan Weber and balanced production from up and down the lineup to beat Louisville 5-3. Weber was mostly excellent over 5 innings while scattering 6 hits and giving up a couple of runs. His lack of swing and miss stuff in conjunction with sub-par efforts with the big league club seem to have cemented his status as a quad-A type player, but its still reasonable to expect that the Braves will continue to shuffle him back and forth between Gwinnett and Atlanta as the need arises. Steve Janas and Brandon Cunniff combined to allow just one run (Janas) over 4 innings of relief while striking out 4 and walking no one.
