Things were looking great early - the offense scored first and took a 4-0 lead into the bottom of the 4th inning. Leading up to that, the Stripers scored in the first inning thanks to Drew Waters hitting a leadoff double. Then in the 2nd inning, Pedro Florimo was out in front of a low pitch but hit it right off the barrell for a 2-run home run. In the 4th, it was Waters again with an RBI single. Then it just devolved from there.
Touki was looking pretty good through the first three innings where he allowed just two baserunners and had five strikeouts.
