Gwinnett started the day off for the system with a day game, and got the ball rolling with an easy win over the Tides. The big inning was a five run second, when after Gwinnett loaded the bases and scored a run on a walk, Kyle Kubitza singled in a run. Jace Peterson then walked to score the third run, and came around to score on a single from Dustin Peterson. Gwinnett tacked on another run in the fifth on another single from Kubitza, and ended up cruising from that point on.
