Gwinnett gave up three runs in the top of the first inning and could never climb back ahead in the game a they fell to 6-3 on the season. Abraham Almonte stayed hot at the plate (1.066 OPS this season) by singling to lead off the second inning and Sean Kazmar Jr. hit his first home run of the season two batters later to bring the game within a run. A Travis Demeritte double scored Orlando Arcia in the bottom of the third inning and tied the game up, but this wouldn’t last long for the Stripers. Louisville scored two each in the fourth and fifth innings to put Gwinnett well behind in the game.
