Adam Duvall drove the Gwinnett offense with two home runs and six RBIs in an 8-1 win over the Indians. Gwinnett immediately took the lead in the bottom of the first inning when Travis Demeritte was hit by a pitch and then driven in by the first of Duvall’s home runs. Demeritte would have one at bat more in the game and strike out before being pulled from the game in between innings. It’s not clear what the reason was for him being pulled, although it seems likely he tried to give it a go after being hit on the left hand and they figured out he couldn’t swing the bat properly.
