Monday saw the Braves struggle on the field, as the affiliates went just 1-4 on the day with the Gwinnett shutout of Durham being the lone exception.
The positive on the day came as Kolby Allard pitched a solid game, while Rio Ruiz continued his power streak, and Ronald Acuna his hit streak. On the negative side Joey Wentz had his worst outing of the year and the GCL team was awful with runners in scoring position.
Gwinnett Braves 9, Durham Bulls 0
- Ronald Acuña, RF: 1-5, RBI
- Rio Ruiz, 3B: 1-5, HR
- AJ Minter, RP: 1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 3 K
Gwinnett shut out a solid Durham offense, led by five solid innings from Josh Collmenter in his second start back following a rehab assignment in the GCL.
