A long game for the bullpen turned sour for the Stripers as they allowed ten runs over three innings in a 12-3 loss. Durham struck first in the second inning on a home run from Emilio Bonifacio (no I’m serious that actually happened) and Gwinnett came up to bat looking to answer down 2-0. Adam Duvall led off the inning with a single and it looked as if the Braves had something working, but he was thrown out by Bonifacio trying to stretch the hit into a double for the first out of the inning.
