Max Fried had a forgettable rehab start as Gwinnett got trounced by Charlotte 10-4. After Fried managed to get just six outs while giving up five runs, things did not get better as the bullpen proceeded to give up five runs of their own. Of note, Bryse Wilson made a relief appearance and gave up a run in an inning of work with two strikeouts. We can expect several of the Braves’ young arms (Wright made a relief appearance the day before yesterday), to make another relief appearance or two before getting called up when rosters expand in September.
