The Braves combined for a shutout on Friday. Michael Mader went seven scoreless, giving up six hits and four walks against a strong Biloxi lineup. Thomas Burrows finished the game off by going two perfect innings out of the pen to pick up his third save since reaching Double A.
Travis Demeritte keeps hitting and on Friday he went two for three with another double, bringing his season long OPS to a respectable .740. That’s a long way from where he was a couple of months ago, and a sign that he may not be done as a prospect.
