Lucas Sims was excellent to start his 2018, but the bullpen blew Gwinnett’s lead as Durham took down the Stripers by the score of 4-2. The first start of the season for Sims gave us a glimpse of the player he can be as he threw four shutout innings while allowing three hits and two walks while striking out seven batters. Whether his future in the big leagues is as a starter or in the bullpen, this outing was encouraging for those of us that believe he has the stuff to be a major leaguer in some form or fashion.
