In what is a big year for Aaron Blair, the young pitcher struggled in his seasonal debut and failed to get past the third inning after needing 71 pitches to get through 3. It was tough out the gate for the pitcher as he yielded a homer to the first batter of the season, along with a bases clearing triple in the 1st inning. To say the least it was a start to forget as he struggled with the control of seemingly all of his pitches.
It didn’t get much better after Blair was removed as Joel De La Cruz came in and gave up another 4 runs in the 4th inning, putting Gwinnett down 10-3 after only 4 and a half innings.
