Rome started off their week well with a Monday victory over Charleston, 4-2. Max Povse went 5 innings, allowing 2 runs on 6 hits, 2 walks, and 8 strikeouts with stud Yankee shortstop prospect Jorge Mateo‘s 5th inning home run being the only runs he allowed. Mateo stole three bases on the day and has 32 (!!!) on the season, but his shortstop counterpart, equally hyped Braves shortstop prospect Ozhaino Albies must have felt the pressure as he got on base twice and stole 2 bases of his own to bring his season total to 19.
