An Atlanta Braves legend and a Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter are slated to throw the ceremonial first pitches for the first games of the NLDS in Atlanta, according to a release from the MLB.
Andruw Jones, whose No. 25 jersey was retired by the Braves in September, will throw out the first pitch on Saturday ahead of game 1. Jones was a 10-time Gold Glove winner in 12 seasons with the Braves.
Jason Isbell will throw out the first pitch on Monday. Isbell plays a show in Chattanooga the night before his Atlanta appearance and then he and his band, the 400 Unit, will play a sold-out eight-show residency at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville beginning Oct.
