The sound of the ball hitting a bat, the smell of freshly cut grass, the beer and hotdog combo…if you’re missing this so badly like myself, get your fix with the Dominican Winter League! Well, you should have.
Atlanta Braves utility-man/third baseman, Johan Camargo, has been playing with the Aguilas Cibaenas in the Dominican League pretty much all offseason. The DWL seems like it goes on forever, but it’s good baseball with talented MLB players playing there through these winter months.
The regular season of the DWL runs until December 31st. Then the extended playoffs begin. A round robin style play has the four top teams battle it out for 18 games.
