Atlanta Braves Cameron Maybin Returns to Lineup After Strange Injury

Atlanta Braves outfielder, Cameron Maybin, returns to the starting lineup since leaving the game on September 5th with an eye injury. The 28-year-old had missed nine straight starts due to a corneal abrasion. Maybin pinched hit twice while he was out, once on Sunday and the other plate appearance on Tuesday. He went 0-2 in both at-bats.

Maybin is in the midst of his best season as a professional as he currently has a slash line of .267/.331/.381 with 10 home runs, 52 RBIs, 21 stolen bases, 18 doubles and 61 runs scored.

According to WebMD – A corneal abrasion is a scratch on the eye’s cornea.
