The Atlanta Braves made a few roster moves on Wednesday as they sent Rob Whalen to the disabled list and will call up Matt Wisler from Gwinnett. Also, another move that could be on the horizon is the call up of starting pitcher Aaron Blair.
Whalen was placed on the DL this afternoon with “shoulder fatigue”. The 22-year-old is actually being placed on the DL because he had an innings limit. In 2016, between Double-A, Triple-A and the majors he threw 144.2 innings. His previous high was 96.2 innings last year with High-A.
