MLB Trade Rumors reports that the Atlanta Braves claimed Wilfredo Boscan off release waivers from the Pirates.
Boscan signed with the Rangers in 2006 as am international free agent. The 6’2” 175 pound righty spent the next six seasons working his way through the Rangers system finishing 2012 at AA Frisco with a 4.12 ERA in 34 games including nine starts striking out 80 and walking 28.
In December the Rangers sent Boscan to the San Diego Padres as the PTBNL in an earlier trade. He spent that season between AA and AA for the Friars before moving on the Boston in 2014 where he worked mostly at AA.
