A rough second inning defensively for the Arizona Diamondbacks helped the Atlanta Braves score a pair of runs off right-hander Zac Gallen, and the Diamondbacks trailed, 2-0, after 4 1/2 innings on Tuesday night at Chase Field.
Diamondbacks second baseman Ketel Marte dropped a line drive hit just to his left, an error that allowed a run to score. Earlier in the inning, the Braves got a run on an RBI ground out that might have been an inning-ending double play had there not been a passed ball by catcher Gabriel Moreno, a mistake that let the runner from first advance to second.
