Veteran right-hander Anibal Sanchez will be sticking around the NL East but it won’t be as a member of the Atlanta Braves. Sanchez and the Washington Nationals have an agreement on a two-year deal worth $19 million according to a report by The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal.
The deal also reportedly contains an option for a third year and $4 million in incentives according to Fancred’s Jon Heyman. In total, the deal could be worth $33 million over three years.
Sanchez was a revelation for the Braves after signing a minor-league deal with the club at the end of spring training.
