When I woke up to do the recaps this morning the Cardinals and Dbacks were still playing. I’ve been doing this for 12 seasons and I have to say, that’s a first. Baseball, man. You see somethin’ new every day.
Here’s where we stand:
The Nats swept a doubleheader from Philly, the Brewers won again, and the Cubs phoned in another loss, allowing the Nats to clinch a Wild Card slot while eliminating the Phillies;
The Mets won so they’re technically still alive, even if they’re more dead than the mostly dead than Westly before Miracle Max got to him;
The Cardinals just got done losing, like, ten minutes ago, keeping their magic number at three;
The Rays and Indians won and the A’s lost.
