AJax and Contreras power Braves to 4-3 spring training win

Fresh off their first win of the spring, the Braves came back on Tuesday with a game against the split squad Mets. Both Alex Jackson and William Contreras homered as the Braves took down the Mets by the score of 4-3.

Sean Newcomb got the start on Tuesday and pitched two scoreless innings. While he did give up a pair of walks, the Mets were unable to do any damage and couldn’t even manage to get the ball out of the infield against him. Shane Carle came in after that and gave up three hits and a run in his inning of work to put the Braves behind 1-0.
