Adam Duvall is back in Atlanta. The Braves signed the free agent outfielder to a one-year, $3 million contract for his third stint with the club.
The 35-year-old was one of the last remaining position players available in free agency who was expected to sign a major-league deal. He spent the 2023 campaign with the Boston Red Sox where he hit 21 home runs in 92 games with a .531 slugging percentage and a 119 OPS+ (indicating his bat was 19% better than league-average) despite missing two months with a fractured wrist.
Duvall first joined the Braves when he was traded from the Cincinnati Reds midway through the 2018 season and stayed through 2020.
