ATLANTA -- Ozzie Albies has found great success as a catalyst and Ronald Acuna Jr. has taken full advantage of his recent opportunities to deliver in the clutch. The close friends, who are MLB's two youngest position players, fueled the eighth-inning charge that provided the Braves a 4-1 win over the Cubs Wednesday night at SunTrust Park.
Albies opened the bottom of the eighth with a triple -- his Major League-leading 30th extra-base hit -- and scored when Acuna followed with a go-ahead single to left field off Carl Edwards Jr. After Freddie Freeman singled and advanced to second on a throw to third base, Edwards intentionally walked Nick Markakis.
