When Atlanta Braves new general manager Alex Anthopoulos decided to add to his outfield depth a couple of weeks before Opening Day, he did so by looking to a familiar face from his time in Toronto. Anthopoulos today signed Ezequiel Carrera, who was released by the Blue Jays earlier this week despite receiving a $1.9M contract for this season roughly 60 days ago.
Carrera signed with the Blue Jays for the 2015 season as more of a journeyman/quadruple A type of player, having a total of 478 plate appearances combined between three different organizations from 2011 through 2014.
