Jonathan Morales hasn’t had much hype in the Braves system since a fantastic professional debut in 2020, but has flown under the radar to set himself up Triple-A with at least a chance to one day make a major league roster in a backup or third catcher role. The 25 year old has spent his entire career in the Braves system and is known for his contact-first approach at the plate and strong throwing arm. The defense never quite took a major step forward and he’s never going to be a starting caliber prospect, but he’s a solid depth piece in the Braves system who has enjoyed a fun and busy career playing for both the Braves and his hometown team in the Puerto Rican Winter Leagues.
